The Hamilton Cello Extravaganza (The Hamilton Cello Club and 5 at the First Chamber Music Series) is pleased to share the Cello Extravaganza III raised $3,889.04 for Blooms for Africa and An Instrument for Every Child. Each beneficiary received a donation of $1944.52 to support their important, life saving and transformative work with children in Africa and here, in Hamilton.
Thank you to all the cellists (85+) for donating your time, over 30 volunteers from Blooms for Africa and 5 at the First/our family and friends who worked behind the scenes prior to and on the day of the concert, our Emcee and headliner, Kellylee Evans, our pianist Rachel Derry, conductor Cindy Carey, stage manager Steve MacKay, publicist Lyla Miklos, the audience who bought tickets and/or supported our Indiegogo campaign, and our sponsors who shared financial contributions, art work for the silent auction and gifts in kind that made it possible to produce this annual concert in celebration of the cello and gorgeous cello repertoire while supporting AIFEC and Blooms.

Since launching the Cello Extravaganza concerts in Dec. 2011 $11,573.06 has been raised and donated to (Blooms for Africa 2011, 2013 and 2014), Ann Vallentyne Scholarship at the RCM in Toronto (2011), Ann Vallentyne Scholarship at the Hamilton Suzuki School of Music (2013) and An Instrument for Every Child (2014).
